How To Become a FIBA Certified Agent?
Individuals who wish to represent players in international transfers must hold a FIBA Players’ Agent license delivered directly by FIBA. In addition, certified agents are entitled to use the FIBA Arbitral Tribunal should any disputes arise between players, coaches and clubs.
How does one become a FIBA-certified agent?
- You need to fill out the the general application form and provide a copy of your passport
- You need a certificate of non-conviction that’s not older than 6 months
- You must be 18 years old
- You must be knowledgeable of all agents regulations and must become familiar with age limit regulations as per FIBA’s Internal Regulations.
- You’ll have to write a test
- Tests are in English Only
- The administrative cost for the interview and the test is CHF 250 (approx. $275) – per person and paid in cash upon arrival at the test venue (exact amount in € or US$ is accepted). Candidates are responsible for arranging and covering their own transportation and accommodation costs.
- The annual membership fee to be a FIBA certified agent is CHF 1000 (approx. $1100).
